Heaven’s Doorway
There’s a road that each of us travels,
often times with no chance of “goodbye,”
and those who are left sad and lonely,
grieve in silence and simply ask, “Why?”
But the question is one without answers,
and the comfort that others provide,
still can’t keep your poor heart from wishing,
that your loved one was there by your side.
Yet life has beginnings and endings,
and one day your heartache will cease,
though it seems that you’ll never stop hurting,
over time you will find inner peace.
